Southern California Transportation Subsidy
Transportation
from Southern California
Conferees are
encouraged to find a group of people to carpool with. If you have
trouble finding a group, the Transportation Coordinator can help. If you
decide to rent a vehicle, you can utilize our
Southern California
Vehicle Rental Subsidy:
-
Conferee must submit a list of names of all the people riding in the
rental vehicle to the Southern California Transportation
Coordinator, Gigi Ng (see below for contact). All riders must be
registered conferees. Vehicle may contain walk-on conferees, but the
list of names must specify who is the walk-on conferee.
-
Conferee who rented the car must show receipt at on-site check-in to
the
Southern California Transportation Coordinator.
-
Each group will be issued a check, $70 for a car and $90 for a van,
payable to the conferee that rented the vehicle (the name shown on
the receipt) at conference check-in.
-
In order to receive the subsidy, traveling groups must meet a
minimum occupancy rule of 4 people for a car or 5 people for a
van.
-
Due to the limited amount of subsidy available, it is offered in a
first-come-first-serve basis. So submit your group list
early.
Tip:
Compare prices from different rental companies and rent early,
preferably 3-4 weeks ahead to make sure you get the best deal.
