Worship Leader: Anthony Chan & jnX Team

joyful noise Xpress is a non-denominational and cross-cultural non-profit ministry based in the United States serving churches all over the world.

Originally from Hong Kong, Anthony Chan began studying music at a very young age. He had conducted choir for eight years and led his choir on a performing tour in the Philippines.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Hong Kong Baptist University, Anthony worked as the producer/director of the Hong Kong Christian Service Communication Center, hosting a radio program, producing video, music and audio-visual programs. He also produced and composed an album, "Finding My Way".

He came to the States in 1986. He got his MFA in Film Production from Temple University. Later he studied under several instructors at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, and became a full time singing coach, with an emphasis on contemporary/pop singing style.

In 1998, Anthony responded to God’s calling for full time ministry.  In February 2001, joyful noise Xpress, Inc. was officially founded.  Less than four months later, jnX released its first Chinese worship album "Draw Me Close to You - Intimate Worship" with Cantonese and Mandarin versions.

Anthony and his team led worship during the 2002 WCCCC winter conference.  They continue to travel around the US, Asia and Africa ministering to churches of different denominations.

Involved in music ministry for over 30 years, Anthony has a burning passion for the Lord, and a fervent desire to share this passion with the church through music and worship.
